The London District Catholic School Board is currently accepting applications for: Long Term Occasional (LTO) Teachers The London District Catholic School Board believes that recruiting and selecting Catholic teachers, who will serve the spiritual, academic, physical, emotional, aesthetic, and social needs of students, is of paramount importance. We will be requiring teachers to fill a number of LTO roles in both elementary and secondary panels. This position exists to provide temporary replacement coverage for a permanent vacancy within the organization, the end date of this assignment is subject to change as applicable. Location: Multiple Locations available Successful candidates will be required to travel to schools throughout system and must be available to accept assignments with short notice on a regular basis.Salary range: As per Collective Agreement, category placement on the grid will be determined by QECO Category Evaluation and year of recognized certified teaching experience. OECTA Collective Agreement 2022-2026 Art. 13 A1-0 $53,726 to A1-10 $91,154 A2-0 $56,130 to A2-10 $100,271Start Date: ImmediatelyQUALIFICATIONS: Must have a Bachelor of Education Degree and be in good standing with the Ontario College of TeachersFor an applicant to be considered qualified for the position, the applicant shall hold the required qualifications, as per the Education Act and Regulations (as recorded on the Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification at the time of this posting). All OCT qualifications accepted.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Previous elementary / Secondary teaching experience preferredTeaching experience in a Catholic school system is preferredWorking knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession A practicing Catholic with an active Catholic Faith life Proficient knowledge & understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation & assessment techniques Current in understanding of research, integrating technology and best instructional practices Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a welcoming and safe Catholic learning environment for all student Only complete application portfolios on apply to education will be processed.
