Our positions are filled using this process:

- We interview students according to the rules set by the Law Society of Alberta.
- We hire first-year students in the winter and second-year students in the fall.

The Division’s summer student program is designed to be flexible. Successful candidates will be given the choice of the following locations for summer employment:

- Calgary Rural and Regional Response
- Edmonton
- Edmonton Rural and Regional Response
- Fort McMurray
- Hinton
- Lethbridge
- Peace River
- Slave Lake
- St. Paul

It’s also possible for students to gain exposure to different types of prosecutions by working in more than one location during the program. The positions are split between first-year and second-year students.

If hired, you’ll have the opportunity to:

- appear in court
- conduct traffic prosecutions
- work alongside lawyers who appear in court daily
