We are assisting in the search for a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager to lead critical technology initiatives within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA migration project.

Key Details

- Position: Senior Infrastructure Project Manager – SAP COSMOS Program
- Employment Type: Contract
- Duration: Until December 31, 2026
- Workload: 35 hours/week
- Location: Remote work within proximity of Montreal or Toronto metropolitan areas

Project Context

The COSMOS S/4HANA program is a multi-year strategic initiative to migrate from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. Entering its third year, the program involves collaboration with a global systems integrator. This role is focused on the technical infrastructure stream, encompassing:

- Infrastructure architecture and resilience (DR, high availability, upgrades)
- SAP system landscape management and integrations
- SAP user interface technologies (Fiori/GUI)

Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate technical and infrastructure-related SAP projects, ensuring delivery aligns with scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
- Oversee SAP system sizing, landscape architecture, environment builds, and RICEFW deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including enterprise architects, analysts, finance, procurement, and operations
- Implement robust project governance frameworks and performance metrics (KPIs)
- Manage risks, issue resolution, and financial oversight; contribute to business case development
- Ensure alignment with established PMO methodologies and documentation practices
- Coordinate deliverables with both internal and third-party project managers
- Supervise third-party execution of SAP Security features, including Segregation of Duties (SoD) and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)

Required Expertise

SAP & Technical Skills

- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on SAP experience
- Participation in at least 2 full‑cycle SAP implementations, including S/4HANA
- Familiarity with SAP system sizing, installations, and technical landscape management
- Experience with SAP RISE or cloud‑based deployments (strong asset)
- Knowledge of SAP Security and GRC tools (asset)

Project Management

- 5–7+ years managing large‑scale IT initiatives, ideally with budgets in the $5–10M+ range
- Proven track record in multi‑vendor environments
- Proficiency with SAP Activate project methodology
- Capable of independently managing the scope of third‑party vendors

Interpersonal & Managerial

- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to lead global, distributed, and matrixed teams, both onshore and offshore
- Highly organized, detail‑driven, and adept at producing high‑quality documentation
