Our hours count Gain valuable teaching experience. Oxford Learning Burlington North is seeking EXCEPTIONAL teachers/tutors for our students. An ideal candidate for this position will possess a passion for education and teaching, attention to detail, availability at least 2 evenings/week, and experience teaching or tutoring children/teens.
This is a FANTASTIC job for anyone who is passionate about math and science, and helping students learn. Applicants will be fully trained on our proprietary philosophy and methods.
*THIS IS AN IN-PERSON POSITION AND YOU WILL BE REPORTING TO OUR BURLINGTON NORTH CENTRE*
A stellar candidate for this position will possess the following skills:
- Bachelor's degree or third/fourth-year university students with tutoring or TA experience in a relevant field
- Teaching certification an asset
- Fluent English language (written and oral communication skills)
- Confident with teaching senior high school math and science particularly finance and/or physics but still looking for all math and science subjects.
Teaching Requirements:
- Must be available 2-3 evenings/week for 3-4 hours/shift. Our classes run from 3pm - 8pm Monday - Thursday and 9am - 12pm on Saturday. Shifts begin at 3pm, 4pm or 5pm on weekdays.
- Must be willing to commit until the end of the school year June 2025
- Must be available for in-person teaching
