4. To be trained in all aspects of the Transactions practice (Valuations, Mergers and Acquisitions, Due Diligence, Capital Advisory, etc.) and also gain exposure to other areas of Advisory services (Forensic Accounting, Recovery and Reorganization etc.)
As a Senior Associate, Transactions your responsibilities will include:
1. Routinely interacting with colleagues, bankers, lawyers, and clients in the delivery of business valuations, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, financial investigation, dispute resolution, litigation support, and damage quantification activities
2. Analyzing and interpreting clients' financial and non-financial information
3. Responsibility for executing and handling detailed tasks on engagements
4. Preparation and drafting of reports

Think you've got what it takes to be a Senior Associate, Transactions? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we're also hoping you can tick:
1. Have CPA certification
2. Have an interest in pursuing a specialist designation (i.e. Chartered Business Valuator)
3. Have 1-3 years of experience in public practice and transactions experience is an asset
4. Have strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
5. Have a positive attitude, ability to role model self-growth behaviours and demonstrate the Doane Grant Thornton coaching and development philosophies
6. Have a proven ability to be a strong team player and helping those around them improve
7. Be willing and have the desire to be involved in business development and networking activities
8. Have strong business acumen, critical thinking skills and the ability to demonstrate interest in a broad range of subjects and current events
9. Have demonstrated ability to fully engage in client and non-client work to support Doane Grant Thornton goals
10. Be adaptable, able to negotiate uncertain situations with ease

At Doane Grant Thornton, we're committed to ensuring our compensation practices are fair, equitable and competitive. To get the conversation started, we're happy to share that our current base salary for this role ranges from $65,000 - $75,000.
