Position Overview: Reporting to the Director the Senior Solution Designer, will be play a key role in shaping the technology and digital landscape. They will be responsible for designing complex, enterprise-wide initiatives that involve multiple back-end systems. As a member of our technology team, the senior solutions designer will lead the functional design of solutions across a variety of technical platforms. This role will drive the planning, strategy, and integration of technical design and development efforts. Responsibilities: Lead the design of innovative, robust, and scalable technical solutions across enterprise applications and platforms.Translate business requirements into high-level architecture and detailed technical designs. Collaborate with business analysts, developers, architects and stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical and business goals. Document the designs and patterns, and maintain the application's technical functionality, infrastructure, database, interfaces and integrations artefacts. Lead the design of cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet business objectives, and also maintain and enhance existing applications. Develop 1-3 year technology roadmaps to align with the corporation’s overall vision and strategy. Spearhead multiple complex projects involving strategic solutions, new technologies and innovations. Act as the lead designer, and interface with the project teams by arranging and moderating design review sessions to walk stakeholders through, and ensure that the overall design aligns with business and project requirements as well as architectural directions. Support and mentor other designers, and developers through knowledge sharing, collaboration and effective problem solvingQualifications:Education/Experience • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Solution Designer, or in a similar role. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or related field. Specific Knowledge & Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Required to effectively interact with a variety of stakeholders, end-users, business and technology teams to gather requirements, create design specifications, discuss the pros & cons of different solutions, and present designs to upper management and architects.Good understanding of security concepts (like SAML, JWT, Single-Sign-On) as well as infrastructure (like VM and Cloud), capacity, continuity and high availability and other Non-Functional capabilities. Highly motivated and resourceful individual who can manage multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with internal and external partners to integrate and utilize or provide services. Experience with: Data Governance, SQL service, SQL, .Net or Java programming, Business Intelligent tools such as Tableau, Salesforce, Alteryx, MS Power Platform, and Cloud services.
