What you'll do:

1. Develop a mental health pathway for our injured customers.
2. Develop training for frontline staff on disability management of claims with mental health issues.
3. Collaborate with internal and external partners on operationalizing strategies for mental health.
4. Assist with vendor management of mental health preferred providers.
5. Work with our team members on developing parameters for supervising and maintaining the quality of psychological independent examination reports.

What you'll bring:

1. Regulated Health Professional and a member in good standing of the College of Psychologists of Ontario. (supervision by a Psychologist is not available for this position; only autonomous psychologists will be considered.)
2. Completed internship/residency (or equivalent) in clinical psychology and PhD in Psychology from a CPA/APA Accredited Clinical Psychology Program.
3. Minimum 5 years' clinical experience and in-depth knowledge of the theory and practices of psychology, including current evidence-based assessment and treatment techniques/protocols, especially those commonly used with claimants diagnosed with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and phobias.
4. Experience and understanding of the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) especially the sections relevant to the Minor Injury Guideline, Insurer's Examinations, Specified Benefits, and Catastrophic determination.
5. Working knowledge of Regulated Health Professions Act, the Psychology Act, the Personal Health Information Protection Act, the Health Care Consent Act, etc.
6. Solid understanding of disability management and evidence-based assessment best practices and protocols to develop strategies and approaches that result in improved claims management by influencing partners.
7. Excellent leadership skills to motivate and develop performance for results.
8. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and data management/analysis skills.
9. Capability of data trend analysis to support operational performance.
