Property Accountant

Our client is searching for a Property Accountant to join their team. This role is responsible for managing the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of multi-family properties and will be responsible for managing, reporting, financial transactions, analyzing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for assigned portfolio
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Conduct account analysis and reconciliation
- Utilize YARDI, QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial software for accurate record keeping
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Collaborate with the finance team to provide financial services support
- Prepare year-end audit working paper files with supporting schedules to facilitate the auditing process
Your strengths include:

- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven experience in property accounting or a related field
- Proficiency in YARDI, QuickBooks, Sage, and other accounting software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Strong understanding of account analysis and reconciliation processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
