About this team

From concept through to pre-production stage, Product Development is the front-line regarding communication with the domestic embellishment vendor base, launching graphic artworks, requesting sampling, validating placement and graphic execution, and keeping an accurate data library of the life cycle of a product. Product Development is a truly cross functional working group that pivot to partners such as Design, Concept, Quality, Merchandising, Production, Finished Goods Sourcing, Raw Materials, and Go To Market operations to deliver a commercially ready product to our buying teams.

A day in the life

The Senior Product Developer is responsible to drive the commercialization of best-in-class product in partnership with creative and strategic counterparts, balancing function, time, cost, and quality while delivering design intent. Reference product road maps, industry standards and drive team project management expertise to deliver premium, functional, and innovative product fit for production.

1. Complete and manage graphic application/styles from concept through to production readiness
2. Maintain data integrity in relevant systems
3. Organize daily workflow that adheres to GTM deliverables & development timelines
4. Collaborate with internal and external resources (overseas and domestic vendors) to solve innovation opportunities both during and outside of key calendar milestones
5. Maintain close communication with Heat Transfer developers ensure wholistic and informed overview of ongoing programs and deliverables
6. Mentor and train team on daily activity execution, act as a proxy when needed for Manager
7. Enable communication and influence cross-functional partners for issue resolution at all levels
8. Educate and encourage business-oriented perspectives focused on big picture priorities
9. Gain support and enrollment of the intended audience, peers, and stakeholders through both verbal and visual communication and education
10. Understand the positions of others and build commitment to the recommended course of action
11. Track and conduct risk assessments and own cross functional seasonal share back sessions
12. Present and advise on style development status at key product meetings
13. Generate new and feasible ways of working
14. Develop SOP to document internal process
15. Proactive to initiate research and development by looking to competitive landscape through market research, trend analysis and vendor showrooms
16. Build relationships with key vendors to ensure that standardized ways of working and communication are clear and delivered

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience; focused training in Technical Design, Product Management, Product Development or relevant experience preferred
2. 8+ years minimum industry experience preferably in Outerwear or similar technical category (preferably within the Product Development, Product Management or Sourcing departments)
3. Proficiency in MS office (Excel/Word/Outlook), Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)
4. Proficiency with Flex PLM or similar PLM software is recommended

Compensation and Benefits Package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $119,200 - $156,500 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
