The Data Analytics Team Lead at Cashco Financial is a visionary leader who will harness the power of data to drive transformative changes and propel our organization forward.

This role is pivotal in shaping our strategic direction by utilizing data to drive critical business decisions and reporting that fuel innovation and growth. As the steward of our data analytics team, you will inspire and empower your team to excel, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and excellence.

Your work will directly contribute to Cashco Financial's purpose of Ending Financial Exclusion and putting 1 million Canadians on the path to financial health, making a tangible difference in the lives of our clients and communities.

By leveraging your expertise and passion for data, you will help us navigate the complexities of the financial landscape, ensuring we remain at the forefront of our industry and continue to deliver exceptional value to those we serve.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

· Team Leadership and Development: Lead and manage the data analytics team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

· Data Strategy and Implementation: Develop and implement comprehensive data analytics strategies that align with Cashco Financial's business objectives. Ensure the effective use of data to drive decision-making and improve financial services.

· Data Collection and Management: Oversee the collection, processing, and management of large datasets from various internal and external sources. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

· Data Analysis and Interpretation: Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business strategies and decisions. Use statistical methods and advanced analytics techniques to derive actionable insights.

· Reporting and Visualization: Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key metrics and insights to stakeholders. Ensure that data is presented in a clear and compelling manner.

· Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, product, client care, and IT, to understand their data needs and provide data-driven solutions. Act as a liaison between the data analytics team and other departments.

· Data Governance and Quality: Establish and maintain data governance standards to ensure data quality and integrity. Implement best practices for data management, including data security and privacy.

· Tool and Technology Management: Manage and optimize data analytics tools and technologies. Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance data analytics capabilities.

· Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and data science. Apply this knowledge to continuously improve Cashco Financial's data analytics processes.

· Presentation and Communication: Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders. Communicate complex data insights in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical audiences.

Strategic Vision: Ability to develop and implement data analytics strategies that align with business objectives. Demonstrates a strategic mindset and the ability to see the big picture.

Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop effective solutions. Demonstrates critical thinking and resourcefulness.

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrates effective project management and time management skills.

Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.

Data Governance: Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data management best practices. Ensures data accuracy, integrity, and security.

Continuous Learning: Commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and data science.

Qualifications and Work Environment:

· Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, and/or related field. · Proven experience in a data analytics or data science role, with at least 5+ years in a managerial or leadership position. · Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R · Expert knowledge of Power BI data visualization tool. Knowledge of Tableau is beneficial. · Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. · Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders. · Experience with data governance, data quality, and data management best practices. · Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. · Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Work Environment:
