Direct supervisor: Assistant Director, Real Estate and Renovation

The Nunavik Housing Bureau (NHB), is responsible for managing and operating a pool of +/-4,000 social housing units in the Kativik region, spread across fourteen (14) villages. The NHB is looking for renovation/construction project managers throughout its territory. With the aim of offering comfortable, safe and affordable homes adapted to Inuit needs and culture, and to contribute to community development.

FUNCTION

Are you passionate about project management and looking for meaningful work? As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and ensuring the success of renovation projects in a unique and enriching environment. You will be involved in every phase of the project: planning, technical and administrative management, on-site supervision, collaboration with local communities, and coordination of northern logistics.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plan, organize and supervise maintenance, renovation and construction projects.

- Prepare plans, specifications and call for tenders.

- Oversee financial, administrative, and technical aspects of each project.

- Maintain regular contact with contractors, suppliers, and local partners.

- Monitor project quality, timelines, budgets, and safety compliance.

- Coordinate northern logistics (air and sea transport).

- Produce progress reports and project monitoring tools.

- Ensure local needs, cultural realities, and community participation are integrated into the projects.

PROFILE

EDUCATION

- College or university degree in architecture, building sciences, or a related field.

- Project management training is a strong asset

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE

- At least three (3) years of relevant experience in renovation or construction project management.

- Proven ability to manage full-cycle projects.

- Experience in a multicultural and municipal environment is an asset.

- Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written).

SKILLS

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Autonomy, resourcefulness, and leadership.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to handle pressure and unexpected situations.

- Customer service oriented and committed to delivering on promises.
