If you answered YES to either of these questions, then consider joining our Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health team Responsibilities - Provide safe and appropriate care for all Pocono Center residents - Be responsible for supervision of residents and ensuring their physical, emotional and personal needs are met - Assist in hygiene tasks such as showering or toileting - Support individuals throughout daily routine, including joining them in community outings - Attend in-service training programs to develop skills - Perform related duties, special assignments and projects as assigned by the coordinator Devereux is proud to offer ASCEND – the first career accelerator program exclusively designed to give behavioral healthcare workers the career guidance, one‑on‑one coaching, skills and financial assistance they need to reach their full potential. This program includes 100% of tuition covered (up to fifteen thousand dollars annually for undergraduate and twenty‑five thousand for graduate) and student loan repayment, among other benefits. Payrates Starting rates: $17.75–20.24/hr depending on education/experience. On‑Call: $21.25/hr. Build your own rate up to $21.80/hr (maximum experience and C.N.A.) with the shift differential and our TOB Exchange program - Exchange 40 hours of Time Off for an additional $0.38 per hour, or 80 hours for an additional $0.77 per hour - Additional $0.30 Evening shift differential, $0.50 Overnight shift differential - Additional $0.29 per hour if you have an active C.N.A. - Earn an extra $1.00 per hour on your base pay if you have an active NADSP Level 1 Certification Devereux Pocono Center is proud to offer PayActiv Get access to up to 50% of your wages before payday. Days 7 am–3 pm, Evenings 3 pm–11 pm, Overnights 11 pm–7 am, 9 am–2 pm, Power weekend (40‑hour Friday through Sunday) considered. Locations: Tobyhanna, Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg, Scranton, Dickson City, Mount Pocono, Newfoundland, Greentown, Cresco and Canadensis. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; valid driver’s license required. One (1) year of human service experience working with children, adolescents, or adults preferred. The IDEAL candidate will be empathetic, a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be energetic, creative, understand the theories of behavior management and positive reinforcement, and represent themselves as a positive role‑model. Additionally, you must be able to complete required new‑hire orientation, have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adolescents with special needs, and possess a valid license. Physical Requirements Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 50 lbs or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements; normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches. Work Environment Regularly works inside areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated. Some fluctuations in temperature. Use of protective equipment such as latex gloves, facial mask, protective eyewear, and gown. Possible exposure to blood‑borne pathogens. Some degree of physical involvement in the exercise of Safe and Positive Approaches.
