Event Security Guard

Charco Sécurité is looking for reliable, dynamic, and motivated security guards to ensure the safety of various events across several regions of Quebec.

Main Responsibilities:
- Access Control: Managing entry points, checking tickets and invitations to ensure that only authorized individuals are allowed access to the venue.
- Surveillance and Patrols: Regular rounds of the venue to prevent incidents, monitor the premises, and ensure a secure environment.
- Crowd Management: Planning and organizing the flow of participants to minimize the risk of crowding and create a smooth and enjoyable experience.
- Emergency Response: Quick intervention and expertise in first aid to efficiently manage any emergency situation.
- Assistance and Guest Support: Assisting guests and answering their questions to create a welcoming and reassuring atmosphere.
Types of Events:
- Musical, cultural events and festivals
(Music festivals, concerts, outdoor shows, art festivals, exhibitions, media events, product launches, national celebrations)
- Sporting Events
(Sport competitions, games, tournaments, races, marathons, e-sports events)
- Community and Public Events
(Parades, neighborhood festivals, political gatherings, demonstrations, charity events, marches)
- Corporate and Professional Events
(Conventions, trade shows, conferences, seminars, corporate parties, banquets, and galas)
- Private and Family Events
(Weddings, private receptions, birthday parties, family gatherings, year-end celebrations)
- Leisure Activities and Outdoor Gatherings
(Group leisure activities, agricultural fairs, outdoor events, camping, religious gatherings)
What we offer:
- Salary: starting at $21.00/hour + premiums depending on the assignment
- Variable schedule: day, evening, night – weekdays and weekends
- Status: On-call, ideal for flexible and available individuals
- Occasional assignments, but frequent depending on the season
Requirements
- Valid security guard license
- Up-to-date first aid training
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
- Excellent command of French (spoken and written)
- Clear criminal record and ability to pass a thorough background check
- Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for long periods (4 to 12 hours)
- Ability to write detailed reports (hourly during the day, every 30 minutes at night)
- Strong customer service skills
