Your Role
The Pharmacy Operations Manager, in partnership with the Pharmacy Manager, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Murphy’s Kinlock Pharmacy including the team’s scheduling, onboarding, training, and adherence to operational processes to support the fulfillment of the team’s goals — accuracy, efficiency, quality, organization — while maintaining regulatory compliance.
While we all collaborate to provide services to clients, we all play different roles to make this happen. You’ll contribute by:
- Manage the pharmacy team’s schedule and after-hours scheduling.
- Monitor and maintain an efficient workflow in the pharmacy at all times including redirecting staff as required
- Schedule applicable pharmacy operations activities such as shipping and receiving, equipment maintenance, quality reporting.
- Manage inventory management processes, including stock and supply levels to maintain efficient operations
- Troubleshoot technical problems as they arise and contact contractors as required
- Develop and oversee on-boarding, coordination and training of new staff and support existing employees in learning and development
- Problem solves and/or participate in internal and external conflict resolution as required
- Collaborate with other support team members on a routine basis
- Help with pharmacy operations/drug distribution when required
- Ensure pharmacy operations are compliant to all applicable legislation, College of Pharmacy policies and company policies.
- Other duties will be assigned as required for business needs
Technical Competencies
- Excellent working knowledge of Kroll and eMAR systems
- Competency with Microsoft Office software
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot issue with PACMed and PACVision
- Demonstrate ability in compounding medicines
