We are hiring a Contract Coordinator for our Vancouver client. This is a newly created position that will focus on drafting client contracts, editing and making recommendations in collaboration with client requests and needs. Prior experience with contract negotiation, drafting and updating business contracts, and excellent client service skills are required.

Responsibilities

- Draft client contracts and research grant applications
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, editing and making changes to contracts per client requests
- Assist with contract negotiations, make suggestions, and provide options
- Review and interpret work plans, financial budgets, and payment schedules to ensure alignment with agreement terms
- Track progress, address issues, and ensure agreements are executed on time, including preparing amendments when necessary
- Oversee the electronic signing process for agreements with external partners, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and timelines
- Evaluate proposed changes to standard terms and conditions to ensure they meet legal, regulatory, and organizational standards
- Participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders to review agreement terms and requirements
- Conduct research and analysis to support the preparation and execution of agreements

Qualifications

- A degree or diploma in business is an asset
- 5+ years of experience working with contracts
- Demonstrated contracts administration, contract law, and/or research agreements experience is required
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple agreements is required
- Proven understanding of contract terms, concepts, and language, including analyzing and assessing the implications and impacts of proposed changes to agreement language
