The Financial Accounting & Reporting (FAR) group is part of the Chief Accountant's department within the Finance Division. This position involves preparing financial reports of the Bank's results for the Bank shareholders and general public. The Analyst is responsible for assisting with the public reporting of the Bank's results including assisting with the production of the Quarterly and Annual Report to Shareholders, calculation of the Bank's corporate tax provision and various internal management reports. As a result, the incumbent will obtain a unique overview of the Bank's operations.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

1. Compile the Bank's monthly/quarterly tax provision package, including the calculation of the Bank's corporate tax provision, effective tax rates of the Bank and its subsidiaries, and processing of required journal entries.
2. Assist with preparation of the Bank's quarterly and annual shareholder reports, including preparation of the statement of cash flows and certain MD&A disclosures and financial statement notes.
3. Calculate and analyze financial statement ratios.
4. Benchmark and analyze financial statement disclosures against industry peers and update disclosure checklists issued by various regulatory authorities.
5. Roll-forward and update quarterly and annual reports in the disclosure management system.
6. Prepare other analysis on a regular basis and ad hoc financial reports/analysis as requested by senior management.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

1. Post secondary education in business, finance or accounting.
2. CPA designation (or working towards the same) would be an asset.
3. Strong Excel skills, including experience with the development of macros, is desirable.
4. Familiarity with Peoplesoft EGL and OBI, including the Smartview add-in.
5. Strong analytical skills.
6. Excellent organizational skills; must be accurate yet able to meet tight deadlines.
7. Willingness to work overtime during quarter-end periods.
