Job Title: Rubrik Administrator / System Engineer This position is responsible for maintaining reliable backup and recovery processes, supporting disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BCP) operations, and strengthening the organization’s ability to withstand disruptions to core technology services. This role works in collaboration with a Senior Rubrik Team Lead and other technology specialists to maintain, optimize, and enhance Rubrik and DR/BCP platforms. Location: GTA (hybrid – 1 day in-office monthly) Duration: Permanent F/T role Rate: open rate / market rate (other perks: RRSP, Profit sharing, vacation and benefits after 3mo) Technical Experience & Skills - Minimum of 5 years in a systems or infrastructure administration role, with demonstrated experience in enterprise backup and recovery environments. - At least 3 years of direct, hands-on experience managing the Rubrik platform for backups, CDP operations, and Active Directory recovery. - 5+ years of participation in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution. - 5+ years of experience contributing to business continuity planning and validation exercises. - Background working with both Windows and Linux server infrastructures. - Comfortable working in "3 datacenters/300+ operational sites" highly distributed environment - Strong technical understanding of data protection, replication, and recovery methodologies. - Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that fulfills the technical requirements of the role. Core Responsibilities - Oversee daily operations, monitoring, and maintenance of the Rubrik platform to ensure consistent performance for backup, continuous data protection (CDP), and Active Directory recovery. - Investigate and resolve issues related to Rubrik backups, CDP health, or platform performance. - Manage ongoing maintenance and monitoring of DR and BCP infrastructure, coordinating with other technical SMEs to address any issues promptly. - Execute restore operations as required, ensuring data recovery integrity. - Partner with senior DR/BCP subject matter experts to plan and conduct regular DR testing (monthly) and semi-annual BCP exercises. - Support the continual improvement and scalability of the Rubrik platform, CDP, and associated DR/BCP systems. - Contribute to developing and implementing best practices for backup optimization, disaster recovery readiness, and business continuity planning.
