The Barrhead Inn and Suites located in the Town of Barrhead is a hotel that offers short-term accommodation with a variety of room types and amenities. We are known locally and listed among the town’s lodging options.

We are seeking to hire a Hotel Managing Supervisor to join our team at 5905 - 49 Street, Barrhead, AB, T7N 1A6. All candidates must be willing to join a team environment to strengthen and grow our current crew with a positive attitude and character.

We offer:

- Wage: $23.00 per hour
- Hours per week: 30-40 hours per week
- Vacancy: 1

Terms of employment:

- Full time permanent position
- Job start date: as soon as possible
- Employment conditions: Early morning, Evening, Shift, Morning, Night, Day, Weekend

Work setting: Hotel

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure smooth service and adherence to hotel standards.
- Establish work procedures, schedule, assign, review duties and assist with tasks as needed.
- Recruit, train and provide support on job responsibilities, safety procedures and hotel policies.
- Monitor room availability, occupancy and operational needs to support guest satisfaction and revenue.
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, safety and maintenance standards are met.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, complaints and special requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Resolve operational issues, provide guidance to staff and recommend measures to improve productivity and service quality.
- Maintain equipment, systems and supplies, arrange repairs and requisition materials to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare and submit reports and perform administrative tasks to support management decisions.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Must be able to communicate in English
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of related work experience
- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail; Standing for extended periods; Tight deadlines; Work under pressure
- Personal suitability: Accurate; Client focus; Initiative; Interpersonal awareness; Judgement; Organized
