As a Hospitalist at Cariboo Memorial Hospital, you will work in the acute inpatient medicine setting and function in a MRP (most responsible physician) role for complex medical and co-management of surgical patients, as well as palliative care. You will receive excellent support from the other CMH specialists and family physicians.

The CMH Hospitalist program supports the complex and diverse medical needs of our patients in an environment that fosters collaboration among specialists.

Working 8 hours a day you will see an average of 12-16 inpatients per shift. Participation in after-hours call is mandatory.

Compensation Type: Clinical Service Contract
Estimated Remuneration: For a full-time hospitalist, anticipate an annual income of $336,162.00, plus MOCAP level 2.

Benefits and Incentives

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:

1. Retention Premium 12.32%
2. Retention Flat Fee $19,092
3. Relocation Funding Available $9,000 - $15,000
4. Recruitment Incentive $15,000 (based on 1.0 FTE)

Other Benefits/Incentives: Rural Incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at time of offer. Candidates with a BC or Canada student loan may be eligible for BC or Canada loan forgiveness programs for those living and working in rural community.
