Overview

Paladin Security is proud to partner with Seneca Polytechnic at York Campus, a dynamic dual-institution environment where Seneca’s hands-on learning meets York University’s academic community. As a Security Team Lead, you will support a large, diverse, and collaborative campus, guiding frontline staff and ensuring the safety and well-being of students, employees, and visitors.

Seneca@York is a fast-paced, community-driven environment—ideal for leaders who excel in communication, teamwork, and situational decision-making.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily Security Guard operations across academic, residential, and event spaces
- Assign and monitor patrols, access control duties, and incident response
- Partner with York University Security and other campus stakeholders
- Lead incident investigations and ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Provide leadership support during special events, speaker engagements, and high-profile activities
- Mentor new staff and deliver in-service training
- Ensure compliance with Seneca and York University security policies
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and professional team culture

Requirements

- Proof of vaccination for two approved doses against COVID-19
- Ability to work 12-hour continental shifts
- 6+ months of customer service experience
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Valid First Aid/CPR Level C (WSIB-approved provider)
- Ability to work rotating continental shifts
- Legally authorized to work full-time in Canada
- Not currently enrolled as a Seneca student at York
- Valid G-Class driver’s licence
- Commitment to at least 1 year of full-time employment
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Security Guard
