JOB SUMMARY

The Functional Analyst interfaces regularly with business stakeholders and IT development teams to ensure that business requirements are met. This role works closely with Functional Leads, Solution Architects, Development, and Business Analysts amongst others in a highly collaborative environment, for all phases of the SDLC, including driving requirements gathering, design, set-up activities, configuration, testing, deployment, and user support for SAP and other IT applications/solutions. The incumbent must thrive in an environment where change is a constant. Our approach will necessitate close communication and collaboration with others, requiring solid communication and interpersonal skills.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design, implement, and test large scale projects and enhancements in SAP and integration with other systems with concentration on IM/MM modules
- Cross functional support amongst other modules of SD, WM & FI will be required.
- Participate in the full SDLC for miscellaneous enhancements and large scale projects, including estimations
- Experience with web based ordering systems, SAP Based APIs, SAP based webservices, BAPI and RFC Calls, IDOC based integrations
- Deliver project assignments on time and with high quality.
- Collaborate with Solution Architect and other IS resources in designing and implementing integrated, enterprise solutions.
- Act as subject matter expert (SME) in assigned business and technical domains with an excellent understanding of business and system processes,
- Provide systems and technical support (as required) to the business to ensure business continuity and efficiency
- Interface with Business Stakeholders, IT infrastructure teams and Development teams to ensure that business requirements are properly configured
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with Business Clients.
- Conduct functional testing of developed/configured solutions, and provide initial support when moved to production.
- Create and deliver BRDs, CRDs and other user documentation as necessary to ensure proper inventory and use of changed and newly implemented efforts.
- Coordinate training and rollout plans for new systems or enhancements to existing systems
- Provide expert technical direction to developers on developing screens, forms, reports, and objects
- Provide direction to Analysts and assigned contractors
- Provide assistance to troubleshoot and analyze issues with the production system.
- Ensure compliance with IS governance and procedures
- Provide support (such as regression testing, post go-live support) on project initiatives
- Provide training on system solutions and other tools as needed
- Interfaces with and provides updates to Management on a day-to-day basis

QUALIFICATIONS

- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience working with SAP IM/MM or other ERPs in a Manufacturing or Distribution environment
- 4-5 years of hands-on configuration/development experience
- Experience working on enhancements and projects through to implementation
- Assist management in determining the scope and impact of enhancement requests and/or projects, estimating effort, and timelines
- Work with distributed teams across various time zones.
- Experience to translate ABAP related development requirement including Reports, Transactions, User exits, BADI Enhancements, Query, LSMW, etc.
- Work with business users to help them determine business requirements and translate them to system requirements
- Make software configuration changes to support business processes
