Job Purpose:

The Safety, Health and Environment Leader will be responsible for managing SHE improvement activities to achieve excellence at our Rexdale Facility in Canada.



Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead Safety Compliance & Culture initiatives using World Class Manufacturing operating framework.
  • Influence Hearts and Minds of a 160+ worker facility to invest in high standards of safety culture.
  • Develop and deploy internal Safety, Health and Environment auditing and inspection systems.
  • Conduct trend analysis from incidents, near misses, safe behavior observations and deep compliance audits.


Supporting Objectives:
  • Reduce the site's environmental impact in areas such as COD, hazardous & non-hazardous waste, SOx & CO2 emissions, water & energy consumption.


Requirements:
  • University degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent industrial experience.
  • Proven track record of analytical thinking and project management.
  • Good knowledge of Manufacturing and Process Improvement.
  • Influencing skills, Presenting skills, people management.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years' experience in a factory-based role. Process Improvement or Safety, Health or Environmental role.
  • At least 1-year experience in a supervisory role with direct reports.


Skills:
  • Bias for action and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to influence and teach others on the importance of safety.
  • Leadership and change management skills.


Leadership Behaviors:
  • Takes personal responsibility and accountability for execution and results.
  • Has humility, understanding that leadership is service to others.
