Travel Paramedic

We provide a unique way to experience an expanded clinical scope of practice while enjoying an adventure at the same time Average assignment durations vary from 2 to 6 weeks. The work you will do: Paramedics will primarily work in clinic-based environments, performing an expanded role in these communities, providing primary and emergency care to all residents—from newborns to elders—through a nursing station/Health Center in a clinic atmosphere. Responsibilities include health promotion, assessments, support, and implementing care using Best Practice Clinical Practice Guidelines; primary care and emergency care. Work as part of a care team with nurses in a clinic that handles urgent/non-urgent walk-ins, similar to a walk-in clinic, as well as primary care follow-ups, similar to visiting your doctor for prescriptions, tests, or condition follow-ups. They also serve as ER in communities without a dedicated ER. Provide acute and primary care, requiring quick thinking and prioritization of patient needs. No physicians are on site, so you must be able to "hit the ground running." You have or are willing to obtain an appropriate license through the regulating body in the province or territory you wish to work in. You meet the required work experience. Experience Required: At least 2 years (1950 hours) of full-time "on the road" or clinic-based experience as an ACP within the past two years, or 3000 hours (approximately 2 years) of full-time experience as a Paramedic with at least 1 year recent experience as an ACP. #J-18808-Ljbffr
