The Faculty of Education at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a Limited Term Appointment faculty position in Higher Education/Post-Secondary Education (PSE) at the rank of Assistant Professor in Education beginning July 1, 2025 (ending June 30, 2026), subject to budgetary approval. Teaching duties will be assigned on our Waterloo campus.
The position is open to candidates who hold a completed PhD in Education or EdD by the start of the appointment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach graduate (e.g., Masters, PhD) courses, across a range of course delivery modalities, in Higher Education/Post-Secondary Education or related fields.
- Engage in an active research program related to Higher Education/Post-Secondary Education.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Faculty of Education and engage in leadership and active service to the Faculty and the University, including program development and support on the Waterloo campus.
Minimum Requirements:
- Provide evidence of effective teaching related to PSE theory, research, and practice, in a post-secondary context.
- Provide evidence of teaching diverse groups of learners and incorporating equity and inclusion into pedagogy and practices.
- Provide evidence of an emerging research program in PSE student affairs and academic affairs education.
- Have experience in teaching graduate level courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Significant professional leadership and/or administrative experience in PSE.
- Teaching experience in quantitative research methods courses at the graduate level.
- Experience in graduate student supervision.
