Every week, we process hundreds of thousands of pages of documents, saving our customers hours and hours of manual processing time, and helping them process medical claims much more quickly.

We are searching for our first Vice President of Sales to join our Executive Leadership Team. The ideal candidate has experience building and scaling Enterprise B2B SaaS organizations, managing a team of highly competent salespeople, and working cross-functionally at the executive level.

You are prepared to be a builder and you are comfortable working in a very fast-paced organization where you will be building many processes from scratch. You lean in quickly and find ways to iterate and scale. You have a strong and deep understanding of what it means to be a Go to Market leader.

In this role, you will own our Go to Market strategy, partnering directly with the founders to build out the next stage of growth for the business. As the VP of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, expanding our customer base, and establishing Wisedocs as a trusted partner in the insurtech landscape.

The role is open for both Canada and US based candidates. This role is hybrid if based in Ontario, Canada.

Travel Requirement: > 10%

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for selling our solution into claims organizations, law firms, and third-party organizations that are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
2. Team Leadership: Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure they consistently meet and exceed targets.
3. Market Expansion: Identify new business opportunities and target markets, working closely with the executive team to expand our customer base and increase market share.
4. Executive Reporting: Collaborate with the C-suite weekly and provide updates, opportunities, and risks to sales reports.
5. Customer Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their needs and challenges to tailor our solutions effectively.
6. Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by closing significant deals, negotiating contracts, and managing the sales pipeline to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
7. Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with insurtech solutions, competitor offerings, and industry trends to effectively communicate the value proposition to potential clients.
8. Reporting and Analytics: Implement robust sales reporting and analytics to provide insights into performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
9. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer success, to ensure alignment and a seamless customer experience.
10. Compliance: Ensure all sales activities are carried out in compliance with industry regulations and ethical standards.

Ideal Candidate:

1. 10+ years of progressive experience in customer-facing roles, with at least 5 years in leadership positions within Sales.
2. Proven track record of success in B2B SaaS sales.
3. Strong network and relationships within the insurance sector.
4. A proven track record of building and scaling Sales teams and demonstrably improving key metrics.
5. Exceptional ability to lead, inspire, and mentor high-performing teams.
6. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
7. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
8. Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making.
9. Entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for driving innovation in the insurance industry.
10. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
11. Excellent communication skills to connect with all layers within the organization.
12. Extreme ownership: you find a problem; you bring the solution to the finish line. A proactive approach to identifying and solving customer challenges, with a willingness to experiment and implement new ideas.
