Title: Lead Database Architect

Start Date: Immediately

Position Type: Contract

Location: Remote across Canada

Lead Database Architect - Aurora MySQL Architect with knowledge on APG, DynamoDB, DMS, Data Lake, Kafka/KinesisLead Database Architect on the project w/ following skills:

1/ Aurora MySQL Architect with knowledge on APG, DynamoDB

2/ Understanding of Data APIs

3/ Experience with Amazon DMS for data migration

4/ Experience and understanding of data lakes, and data streaming using Kafka/Kinesis

5/ Managing large scale data based on retention policies

Scope:

[1] Stale Data Management (one-time customer data removal)

- Identification and removal of outdated records

- Optimized batch processing with performance monitoring

- Table reorganization and space reclamation

- Removal of currently closed customers (and associated accounts) from platform

- Outcome: ~35% reduction in data volume, 20-30% Cost Savings

[2] Data Retention Framework (ongoing data removal)

- Policy-driven automated data lifecycle management

- Configurable retention rules by data category

- Removal of future closed customers (and associated accounts) from platform

- Compliance monitoring and reporting, Audit trail maintenance

- Outcome: Data management aligned with customer’s performance improvement expectations & business requirements
