Network Team Lead

Position Title: Network Team Lead· Approves requirements for new procedures and for hardware/software solutions;· Utilizes problem solving skills to analyze and compile information to find innovative solutions to business problems in a team environment;· Demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills in dealing with managers and clients to address issues within challenging timelines and limited resources;· Works closely with support staff to determine optimal system performance and stability requirements and confirm licensing.· Documents and plans project requirements, resources, schedules, and responsibilities; assigns duties; monitors and controls project process and resource usage; and ensures compliance with standards;· Performs other duties as requested by the Director, Physical Infrastructure.· Degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience; or Diploma in Computer Science and 6 years of experience; or Computer Technology Certificate or program completion and some course and 7 years of experience; or 8 years of experience;· Minimum 5 years or more experience supervising and motivating a team to deliver high-risk projects and leading direct reports, contracted resources, as well as other staff resources using the ability to influence without authority;· Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity;· Experience working with internal and external support teams and vendor support organizations;· Experience using and reporting on network monitoring tools;· Demonstrated experience in managing all aspects of network support for a large-scale organization.· Project planning and management practices and experience in providing project management and technical leadership to systems professionals and vendors;· Knowledge of monitoring and discovery tools such as Nagios and Service Now an asset;· Strong organization and people skills are required;· Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines and order competing priorities;· Good verbal, written communication, listening skills, telephone manner; and· Ability to work well in teams and independently.* Employment Type: Full Time, Regular* Union/Non-Union: Union - BCGEU* Salary Grid Level: Level 30, Schedule 2* Annual Salary: 118,295.06 - 135,264.21 (Based on a 40 hour work week)* Office Location: Victoria, BC - HybridWe promote a diverse, equitable work environment and welcome employment applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
