Role Description

Reporting to the Director and working under the guidance of Project Engineer, the CAD Technician works as a member of the Engineering team, creating customer deliverables from various sources of data, primarily the Field team.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Generate drawings to customer specifications and industry standards using existing map data and new surveyed data.
- Participate in the creation and development of data management standards within multiVIEW.
- Generate and collate coherent data archives using customer supplied data and other sources of subsurface conditions.
- Working with the Field team and the Survey Technicians in particular, create clear, standard work and data requests.
- Interpret and map field supplied data.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

- 2-4 years survey/CAD experience (MicroStation)
- Post-Secondary Geomatics Diploma from an accredited technical school
- Related field experience is an asset
- Knowledge of and experience in the use of GIS systems
- Collaborative team player
