At Help Texts Canada, we deliver clinically sound, powerfully simple, text support to people facing life challenges — grief, caregiving, burnout, and more — in 28 languages, 59 countries, all 10 Canadian provinces, and all 50 U.S. states. We have an exciting, entry‑level position open for an ambitious, personable Sales Development Representative to fuel our growth by generating high‑quality leads for our sales team. In this junior role you'll get regular face time with our CEO, the opportunity to contribute to all parts of our business as we grow, and lots of evidence, every day, that you're doing work that matters.
As an SDR at Help Texts, you'll be at the forefront of our customer acquisition efforts, connecting with prospects who can benefit from our text‑based solutions. You'll research and identify target customers, and conduct strategic outreach through email, phone, and LinkedIn to qualify leads. You’ll also prepare sales materials and decks, to support and accelerate the sales process. Your role will be essential in booking discovery calls, maintaining accurate HubSpot records, and driving pipeline growth.

This position is funded through the Youth Employment Program, which is part of the Government of Canada’s Youth Employment and Skills Strategy Program (YESS). Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria of the program, including being 18-30 years of age
Responsibilities
- Researching prospects and identifying target accounts
- Conducting outbound outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn Navigator
- Qualifying leads and booking discovery meetingsMaintaining accurate records in HubSpot
- Collaborating with the Sales team to align messaging
- Following up with inbound leads and nurturing prospects
- Managing pipeline and performance metrics
- Preparing sales decks and materials
Requirements
- University degree
- 1–3 years of experience in sales or business development
- Comfortable with tech tools and platforms (eg, Google Suite, Canva, Hubspot, Loomly)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding how to manage a sales funnel and nurture leads
- Confident doing cold outreach, objection handling, and lead qualification
- Ability to research and identify target prospects
- Comfortable in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments
- Canadian citizen and resident
- Ability to meet IRL with our CEO in Vancouver, twice a month
