This dynamic and exciting Pharmacist role reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy and is responsible for provision of Pharmacy Services at Loblaw Pharmacy locations across Southwestern Ontario.
The successful Candidate will be supplied with all the tools and supports required to travel within Ontario, including a Fleet Vehicle.
Please provide Proof of OCP Licensure with Application (OCP License number).
What you’ll do
- Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients
- Ensure medication and over the counter supplements inventory levels is adequate to meet patients’ needs
- Counsel patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, and pro‑active interaction
- Create awareness and educate customers through public relations (public health days, clinics, etc.)
- Administer Vaccinations and other activities as legislated by the Pharmacist Scope of Practice Program (Point‑of‑Care testing, Prescription Modification and Advancement, Minor Ailments, etc.)
- Provide Pharmaceutical Professional Services such as Medication Reviews, Follow‑Ups and Minor Ailment prescribing
- Provide timely and positive resolution to patient’s needs and Doctor’s requests/issues
- Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary)
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy, licensed to Provide Patient Care in Ontario (OCP)
- Drivers License with clean Drivers Abstract
- Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism
- Excellent leadership and performance management skills required
- Proven ability to build the business using community‑based marketing strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem‑solving skills including the experience forming and executing action plans
- Strong personal computing skills, as well as working knowledge of HealthWatch Pharmacy computer system
