Description

Processing Operator 1 - 12 month contract (afternoon shift)
This position reports to Processing Supervisor and is based at Guelph, Canada.

What you will do
The processing operator is responsible for successfully executing all manufacturing steps associated with cleaning/sanitation, set-up, and manufacturing operations associated with the work center the operator has been assigned to.
Key Responsibilities
1. Processes raw materials according to the validated process identified on the batch record, cleaning record, and SOPs and follows all steps/instructions.
2. Monitor and record all processing parameters and maintain all necessary processing and cleaning/sanitation documentation.
3. Performs appropriate SAP/MES transactions following the SOP.
4. Accurate and timely recording and tagging of case counts, line events, downtime, and product changes in the Plant Cockpit system.
5. Has a sound understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
6. Able to troubleshoot SAP discrepancies and make adjustments accordingly.
7. Attend GMP training on the schedule designated for my role and as appropriate for the role.
8. Adhere to strict compliance with procedures applicable to the role.
9. Exercise the highest level of integrity in the tasks performed.
10. Functions in compliance with all GMPs, safety requirements, and all applicable standard operating procedures.
11. Engages in team and department meetings.
12. Daily shift communications and communications with the Supervisor.
13. Performs other related or assigned duties as required in all assigned areas.
14. Completion of employee orientation.
We are looking for
Required Qualifications
1. High School Diploma or GED equivalence.
2. 1-2 years of Processing Operator experience in a regulated environment.
3. Understanding of GMP Compliance is required.
4. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and SAP is required.
5. Ability to collaborate and work efficiently in a team environment with limited supervision.
6. Ability to read, write, and understand Basic English and read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
7. Basic math skills required.
Desired Qualifications
1. Knowledge of SAP systems is an asset.
2. Experience working in solid dose manufacturing in an OTC or Pharmaceutical facility is an asset.
