Palliser North – Substitute Teachers Required

Applications are invited for Substitute Teachers in the Palliser North area schools (Calgary area schools). Kindly note that there are two Palliser North postings available ~ Palliser North and Palliser North (Christian Faith-based). Please apply to this position location if you would like to substitute teach at the schools located in this particular area:

- Akram Jomaa Campus
- Omar Bin Al-Khattab Campus
- Horizon Leadership Academy
- National Sport School

If you wish to sub in the Palliser North area for the Christian Faith-based schools noted below, you must have a personal statement of faith and a pastoral reference letter attached to your application profile; otherwise, the applicant will not be considered to sub at the schools listed below:

- Calgary Christian Elementary School
- Calgary Christian Secondary School
- Heritage Christian School
- Master's Academy
- Master's College
- Menno Simons Christian School
- Trinity Christian School

The following attachments should accompany the online submission:

- Cover letter directed to Mrs. Arinola Bakenne, Human Resources Advisor;
- Resume summarizing training and experience;
- Copy of your valid Alberta Teaching Certificate;
- Copy of post-secondary transcripts;
- Copy of your most recent evaluation (if unable to provide evaluation, please indicate in your cover letter the reason why);
- Minimum of three professional references including phone numbers and email addresses for each.

If you are successful in your application, you will be required to provide a recent Criminal Record Check (completed within the past 3 months) including the vulnerable sector as a condition of employment.

By virtue of the submission of an application, the applicant agrees that the superintendent or designate can contact previous employers for the purpose of conducting confidential reference checks whether or not the applicant has listed a reference for that employer.
