JOB OVERVIEW
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Accounts Payable/Receivable Analyst.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Transaction Processing, this position is responsible for providing support services associated with the financial and accounting processes.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Process receivables, payables, and investment transactions and material receipts, including processing bank drafts, resolving purchase order discrepancies, and correcting erroneous payments.
- Review invoices to ensure correctness and process approved invoices for receipt and payment. Ensure costs are distributed and reconciled to appropriate accounts.
- Assist with various internal and external audits as required.
- Work with treasury on payments.
- Month-end work including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and entries.
- Vendor master updates to SAP.
- Answer request tickets as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School or equivalent, plus up to one year of study in a related field.
- 1-3 years of basic accounting skills including accounts payable and receivable experience.
- Experience with SAP, Ariba, and Asset Suite 9 is desired.
- Experience with Excel is desired.
- Ability to quickly understand business processes and navigate organization and support systems to deliver results to client groups.
- Able to provide client-focused service in a high-volume environment.

This position is moving to OPG Corporate Headquarters: In Summer 2025, OPG will officially welcome employees to our new Corporate Headquarters located at 1908 Colonel Sam Drive, Oshawa, Ontario. This position will be temporarily based in Toronto, ON until the move to Headquarters in the Summer of 2025.

The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training, including any collective agreement requirements for union-represented positions. It is not typical for the salary to be offered near the top of the range, and salary is dependent on numerous factors. For management roles, the base salary range does not represent the total compensation package. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
