The Team
Information Security & Control (IS&C) is a team of talented professionals supported by a senior leadership team with significant investments in global operational capabilities and modernization initiatives. The Cybersecurity Awareness and Training team within IS&C is tasked with educating business lines, subsidiaries, affiliates, and clients on cybersecurity threats and best practices for IT and cyber resilience.
The Role
The Manager, Cybersecurity Training, will be responsible for developing employee training programs to enhance skills and drive cybersecurity awareness across the Bank. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Awareness and Training, the Manager will oversee mandatory training courses, presentations, and programs, as well as develop new cybersecurity learning materials for the Bank. Additionally, the Manager will create and maintain detailed online dashboards and reports on training activities and outcomes, ensuring alignment with Scotiabank's strategic objectives.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
1. Lead cybersecurity training projects, collaborating with industry-leading third parties and internal partners to deliver role-based training and cybersecurity best practices globally.
2. Be passionate about educating employees on cybersecurity and new technologies and excel in developing training and assessment documents.
3. Develop, socialize, and implement plans, addressing obstacles and applying monitoring tools to achieve desired outcomes and stakeholder behavior.
4. Create and maintain detailed reports on training activities and outcomes. Effectively manage projects, share best practices and insights, and confidently deliver presentations to stakeholders and business leaders.
5. Collaborate with various business lines, IT support functions, and Control functions across the lines of defense.
6. Collaborate with suppliers under services agreement with the Bank in the delivery of specialized training.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
1. Advanced communication skills in English; Spanish is a strong asset.
2. 5 years of corporate training experience or similar, with the ability to plan, develop, and execute training materials in various formats.
3. 5 years of experience in cybersecurity.
4. Advanced experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative applications (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
5. Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related field.
6. Certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CRISC) are nice to have.
