Application Process

- Application review follows the current OECTA Collective Agreement.

- Priority placement is given to qualified redundant and supernumerary permanent teachers in order of seniority before offering the position to an Occasional Teacher.

- If the assignment remains unfilled, qualified applications from the Occasional Teachers List will be considered.

- Should the assignment still be unfilled, qualified applicants not on the Occasional Teachers List may be considered.

- The Board will access and review the information in an applicant’s portfolio. Applicants are encouraged to keep their portfolio current and include all relevant information, including additional qualifications not in their Certificate of Qualification.

- The end date of this assignment is subject to change as applicable.

- Applicants being considered will be contacted via email and asked to confirm their interest by the end of the business day after the posting closes. Applicants who fail to respond within the timeline will be deemed unavailable for the assignment.
