Term/Status: Permanent, Full-time (70 hours bi-weekly). Classification/Salary: Management Band 4 / Position starts at $100,231 to $125,289 annually. Team: Financial Insight and Compliance. Reports to: Director, Financial Insight and Compliance. Location: Head Office (Hybrid – 2 days in office).

About the opportunity
As a Manager, Financial Data Analytics and Compliance at CLBC, you will design and implement advanced analytics strategies to enhance financial performance at CLBC. Additionally, the role enforces accountability over contracted service delivery levels by leading a team of Service Level Reporting and Financial Analysts. You will drive data-informed decision making by ensuring accurate financial data collection, conducting in-depth analyses, and providing actionable recommendations on funding utilization, contract compliance, and service efficiency to senior leadership as well as to Service Delivery and Finance staff. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of financial data and promoting a culture of accountability and efficient service delivery across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Develops and executes advanced data analytics strategies and methodologies to analyze financial, staffing, payroll, and service level data, identifying critical trends, risks, and opportunities
- Designs and maintains performance metrics, dashboards, and reports to monitor financial and operational performance, providing actionable insights to senior leadership and cross-functional partners (i.e. Service Delivery)
- Directs the development and use of predictive models and analytics frameworks to enhance audit effectiveness and efficiency, and service level compliance monitoring
- Leverages data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to effectively communicate complex data findings to diverse audiences
- Manages a team of Service Level Reporting Analysts for the implementation and oversight of analytics strategies to drive financial and operational performance
- Establishes and monitors controls to ensure service provider’s compliance with CLBC’s service level reporting framework and relevant policies
- Partners with the regional Service Delivery leadership to validate data, address discrepancies, and ensure alignment between service delivery and contractual obligations
- As a leader, you are responsible for building, developing, and supporting a team through effective supervision and mentorship. You will oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and day‑to‑day staff administration while fostering a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative work environment. By providing clear direction, meaningful feedback, and professional development opportunities, you will support employee engagement and growth.
What you’ll bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, data analytics, and compliance reporting
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with: Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX and Power Automate), demonstrating technical proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, reporting, and data visualization
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role, managing staff performance and leading large-scale analytics projects, demonstrating project management and team leadership skills
- A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
