Roles and Responsibilities
- Technical analysis of customer needs and development of customised robotic solutions;
- Design of system architectures based on a high‑level understanding of industrial environments;
- Conceptualisation of robotic cells tailored to customer needs;
- Explaining technical concepts to customers, sales teams and non‑technical stakeholders;
- Drafting technical proposals, including diagrams, simulations and performance estimates;
- Providing technical support to sales, participating in demonstrations and presentations, and responding to calls for tenders;
- Structured transfer of technical files to project teams, with complete documentation and implementation recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in robotics engineering, mechanical engineering, automated production engineering, electrical engineering or a related field;
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in robotics projects or similar positions in manufacturing, industrial robotics applications;
- Experience in application engineering, technical pre‑sales or solution design;
- Member of the Order of Engineers – an asset;
- Fluency in French and functional English.
Specific Requirements
- System vision and ability to model complex robotic architectures;
- Excellent ability to synthesise, communicate technically and explain complex concepts in simple terms;
- High‑level cost estimation;
- Modelling and simulation of system characteristics: cadence, material flow;
- Knowledge of machine safety applied to robotics;
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks;
- Knowledge of Fanuc Roboguide;
- Knowledge of the main manufacturers and standards in the sector;
- Analytical mind, rigour, customer service skills and autonomy in improving internal tools;
- Knowledge of project management;
- Knowledge of industrial engineering and lean manufacturing;
- Knowledge of MES, control and SCADA;
- Sense of innovation and creativity;
- Overview of manufacturing systems and robotics.
