The Quality Systems Coordinator plays a vital role in driving continuous improvement initiatives that align with MacLean's Engineering's objectives, mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct QMS/9001 internal audits and collaborate with internal auditors to finalize findings.
  • Monitor and report audit action status, working closely with owners to resolve issues.
  • Deliver training to employees to enhance QMS awareness and competence as needed.
  • Evaluate and administer the content within the PPR database, assigning tasks, reviewing completeness, mapping trends, and reporting on opportunities for improvement.
  • Follow up with departments regarding PPR task completion and corrective action implementations.
  • Assist with creating process flows, work instructions, and quality standards (drafting, editing, sending through approval processes).
  • Support 9001 rollouts to sites and branches.
  • Collaborate in the development and execution of Quality Improvement processes.
  • Assess compliance issues and non-conformances, implementing measurable and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Perform basic root cause analysis to identify areas where corrective actions and OFIs can be implemented.
  • Conduct gap analyses of processes and their controls.
  • Assist with maintaining calibration records in each facility.
  • Support vendor audits as required.
  • Contribute to external ISO audit preparation.
  • Occasional travel between Ontario sites may be necessary.
  • Provide regular reporting of activities, issues, and relevant updates to Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Business, Engineering, Quality, or Science-related degree, diploma, certificate, or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Quality or QMS role.
  • Internal audit experience or certification is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of Product Quality and requirements.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on technical experience and skills are considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated understanding of fundamental Quality principles, systems, methods, supplier relations, training, root-cause analysis, risk assessment, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite; SharePoint and Visio are assets.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management System.
  • Mixed working environment: Office (70%); Plant (30%).
  • Outdoors, as required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
  • Use personal protective equipment, as required in all facilities.
