Our amazing community-driven client is looking to bring on a Controller/Accounting Manager for their family-owned business based in Grande Prairie, AB. This business is not just 'service providers'; they're your neighbours, friends, and proud supporters of your community.

This integral new hire will have a collaborative mindset, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive working within a tight-knit team. Ideally, they will be a designated CPA and bring strong fundamental knowledge of full cycle accounting, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Performing full cycle accounting, budgeting and financial reporting

- Processing payroll and employee benefits

- Human resources administration and new hire onboarding

- Compiling and submitting necessary financials for year-end audits

- Other responsibilities as needed

Education:

- Post-secondary education in Business Administration majoring in accounting or a related field

- CPA designation

Qualifications:

- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

- High proficiency in MS 365

- Experience with PayWorks

- Experience with ERP software

Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in full cycle accounting, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting

- Service industry experience is preferred

- Previous experience managing the financials for multiple companies is considered an asset

Skills:

- Confident, positive, and approachable personality

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- High attention to detail and organization

- Problem solver with the ability to make informed decisions and think critically

- Strong collaborator, keen to contribute their part to the company's success

- Tech savvy in nature

Base Salary: $85,000 – $115,000 per year

Work Hours:

- 30 – 40 hrs per week

- Mon – Fri

- 8AM – 5PM

Remote Work: This position is not remote and required to be on-site.

- This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
