CBI Home Health is looking to hire Registered Practical Nurses in Ottawa.
Compensation Range:
The hourly rate range for this position is $30.08 to $35.04 per hour.

Status:
casual hours
Schedule:
Overnight shift scheduling between 11:00 pm and 7:00 am, with occasional day shifts. No on-call or every-other-weekend requirements; minimum availability of 2 shifts per week and 1 weekend per month.

What you will do:
Every day will be different As a Community Nurse (RN/ RPN), you will make a difference in the lives of people within their homes, schools (pediatric) and other community locations. You will be able to apply your clinical skills in areas such as wound care, IV therapy, palliative care, pediatric care, tube feeding and medication administration, as well as health teaching. Your person and family centered approach to care will guide your decision making and facilitate collaborative care with each member of the interdisciplinary team. Your managers and peers are easily accessible to you to provide mentorship and support for ongoing development and clinical excellence. Your critical role of home health care supports the larger health system, and you will demonstrate confidence in navigating clients and families to other resources to help them meet their goals.
What you will need to be successful:
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
- Professional Liability Insurance (WeRPN/RNAO)
- Palliative training is considered an asset
- Pediatric experience is considered an asset
- Valid CPR & First Aid certificate
- A clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening results in the past 12 months
- Proof of negative TB test and professional liability insurance
- Ability to travel independently within the community
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills, bilingual in French an asset
