What you'll be working on:
In this role you will report to the Quality & Food Safety department where you will be involved in supporting multiple quality and food safety related initiatives throughout the site. You will lead a small team of hourly employees to develop their capability and drive results.
Specifically, the QFS Coordinator's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Preventive control ownership on shift
2. Communicating and collaborating cross-functionally to assist the team in solving operational problems
3. Ensure a safe work environment for our teams
4. Ensure compliance with company and regulatory food safety standards
5. Facilitate the implementation and compliance of policies and programs as they pertain to quality & food safety
6. Facilitate training and capability development on shift
Qualifications
Who's a good fit for the team:
1. Graduated with a relevant degree or post-secondary designation
2. Strong interest in quality & food safety
3. Demonstrated leadership capabilities
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
5. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
6. Ideal candidates will have the willingness and flexibility to perform tasks as needed in support of the team's business needs. Primary duties may change as Food Safety requirements change.
