You will be responsible for processing payments, verifying invoices, and performing account reconciliations as needed. STAFF ACCOUNTANT RESPONSIBILITIES

- Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
- Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry
- Manage accounts payable using accounting software and internal programs
- Ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
- Analyze workflow processes to improve internal processes
- Maintain professional email relationships with new and existing vendors
- Review A/R Aging and A/P Aging reports to ensure timely collections and payments, respectively
- Collect and organize vendor data such as contracts, W-9 forms, etc.
- Ad hoc reporting, as requested by management

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

- Associate's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years' experience in accounting or related field
- High attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel computer software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong mathematical skills
- Experience in accounts payable (or accounts receivable)
- Experience with accounting software and online platforms
