Senior IT Business Analyst to analyze business needs and define system requirements using data models, data mining, and business intelligence tools Our oil & gas client is seeking an Senior IT Business Analyst to analyze business needs and define system requirements using data models, data mining, and business intelligence tools Drive the translation of complex business needs into actionable IT solutions within a large energy and resources environment. The scope spans requirements analysis, business process evaluation, objective and scope definition, and data-driven insights using data models, database design, data mining, and business intelligence tools. Collaborate with department leaders, clients, technicians, and managerial staff to ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements. This is a Calgary-based contract role. Must Haves
- Proven work experience as a Business Analyst
- Advanced technical skills in data models, database design development, and data mining
- Experience in programming
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools and data visualization
- Expert level in Microsoft Office applications, including Project Nice to Have
- MBA in Information Systems (preferred) Responsibilities
- Analyze business needs
- Document requirements
- Define objectives and scope of business system
- Analyze trends and patterns in complex data sets
- Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
