Earth Sciences and Engineering specializes in site planning, spatial information and digital terrain modeling, surface and subsurface investigations, rock mechanics, underground structures, geotechnical laboratory services, flood forecasting and water resource management through our geotechnical, hydrotechnical, and civil site development expertise.

Hatch is seeking a Geotechnical Student for an internship starting Summer 2025. Reporting to Geotechnical, you will support offices globally working from our Niagara Falls office location.

As the successful candidate, you will:
- Work closely with our engineers, geoscientists, and designers, acting as a technical resource on challenging projects.
- Apply analytical, conceptual, research, and planning skills to support geotechnical investigations, geological characterization, and geotechnical design and analysis.
- Be exposed to modern design tools, including 3D modeling and geotechnical analysis software.
- Gain experience in a variety of technical areas.
You bring to the role:
- Pursuing a degree in Geological engineering or Earth Sciences program.
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Intellectually curious and innovative.
- Comfortable initiating new ways of getting things done.
- Persistent and resilient.
- Critical and creative thinker and problem solver.
Competencies (knowledge, skill, attributes):
- Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals.
- Ability to learn quickly and take on new challenges.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Technical proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Adapts and embraces change.
