Role:

The Intermediate Technician - RF is an entry-level skilled position. The technician may require supervision from more experienced technicians or technical/engineering staff. The Intermediate Electronics Technician performs tasks related to established systems or new projects of low to medium complexity, working from written instructions or general guidelines. Responsibilities include testing electronic units and complex systems.

Responsibilities / Tasks:

- Assemble and modify developmental electronic circuits following specific guidelines.
- Assemble, modify, and verify test benches and test equipment.
- Perform basic RF unit tests such as interference measurements, noise figure, RF gain, and power supply testing.
- Measure RF parameters using vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other RF measuring instruments.
- Install electronic assemblies in test jigs.
- Conduct thermal and vacuum thermal tests on RF electronic sub-assemblies.
- Record test and experiment results accurately.
- Follow and understand flight test procedures.
- Adhere to internal procedures and occupational health and safety rules.
- Perform additional related duties as required.

Required Profile:

- Ability to adapt to new environments and tasks.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.

Qualifications:

- College diploma or equivalent in electrical engineering, electronics, telecommunications, or related field.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Fluency in spoken and written French; knowledge of English is an asset.
- Relevant knowledge and experience in RF and electronics.

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and maintain security clearance at the reliability status level and pass assessments for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
