FOR MORE THAN 80 YEARS, Natus has been working in collaboration with clinicians to deliver industry‑leading neuro solutions that help providers more easily make sense of the body’s signals.

Engineered with input from those who have lived the care experience, our technology simplifies complex processes and improves accuracy and efficiency. There is a role for everyone who wants to be part of the innovative solutions at Natus Neuro.

Design the Future of Neurodiagnostic Technology
At Natus, we’re redefining how clinicians diagnose and treat nervous system disorders in patients of all ages. As our Global Hardware Design Lead, you’ll spearhead the hardware architecture and design of our global medical device portfolio—technology that has a direct, lasting impact on people’s lives.

If you’re passionate about analog systems, embedded technology, and building world‑class devices that matter—this is your opportunity to lead at scale.

Your Role at a Glance

As the Global Hardware Design Lead, you will drive architecture and hands‑on design of precision analog and digital hardware systems for cutting‑edge neurodiagnostic platforms. You’ll collaborate with global teams across engineering, clinical, and manufacturing disciplines to bring complex medical devices to life.

What You’ll Do

- Lead hardware architecture and design for multi‑channel analog signal acquisition systems

- Design power management, front‑end analog circuitry, filters, ADCs, MCUs, and digital interfaces

- Architect secure wireless modules (BLE, Wi‑Fi, cellular) for remote transmission of sensitive data

- Capture schematics using Altium Designer and guide PCB layout to meet performance targets

- Conduct circuit simulations and ensure compliance with global standards (IEC 60601, RoHS, etc.)

- Implement Design for Assembly (DfA) and Design for Test (DfT) to improve manufacturing and test coverage

- Support medical regulatory requirements including ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and FDA 21 CFR 820

- Troubleshoot complex system issues and develop robust corrective actions under clinical conditions

- Mentor junior engineers and lead global technical reviews across product development phases

- Interface with global engineering teams and external technology partners to evaluate and adopt next‑gen solutions

What You Bring

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

- 10+ years of experience in hardware design, preferably in a regulated or medical device environment

- Strong expertise in analog and digital hardware development

- Proven leadership in global product development and cross‑functional collaboration

- Proficiency in Altium Designer (schematics and layout guidance)

- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset

Bonus Experience:

- FPGA development and digital signal processing

- Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601, IEC 62304, and FDA QSR
