If you’re organized, results-driven, and passionate about project management, this is a role for you## **Job Description:****Major Job Functions:*** Lead the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of multiple projects simultaneously.* Understand and effectively use project management systems and strong, disciplined project management practices to achieve positive scope, schedule, quality, and cost results and manage and mitigate risks on each project.* Effectively communicate and engage with all stakeholders, focusing on driving project engagement and ensure delivery is in alignment with business goals.* Demonstrate ability to lead effectively through ambiguity by bringing structure, clarity, and direction to complex, evolving initiatives.* Manage stakeholder expectations and foster strong relationships to support project success.* Coordinate diverse project teams, including internal staff and outsourced resources, to deliver projects on time and within budget.* Lead and manage project teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance.* Support and contribute to departmental continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing processes, efficiency, and overall project management maturity.**Key Responsibilities:*** Manage day-to-day operations of construction projects from start to finish.* Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.* Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.* Coordinate with clients, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure design and execution alignment.* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, utilities, and regulatory bodies.* Provide regular progress updates and manage expectations effectively.* Prepare and manage project budgets, including material, labor, and equipment costs.* Monitor financial performance and implement cost-control measures.* Lead project teams and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.* Resolve conflicts and ensure smooth collaboration among all parties.* Ensure adherence to contract requirements, safety, and company requirements.* Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.* Manage change orders and unforeseen challenges effectively.* Provide regular progress reports to senior management.* Maintain accurate documentation of project activities.**Mandatory (Must-Have) Skills:*** 3+ years of experience in project management, managing construction projects with a focus on business improvement and change management.* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.* Training in Process Management, Change Management, Quality Management* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.**Nice-to-Have (Non-Mandatory) Skills:*** Post-secondary education in a related field; certifications in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) are an asset.* Relevant trades experience in Industrial Electrical, Instrumentation, Heavy Duty Mechanic or steel fabrication experience are an asset.* Consulting experience and familiarity with Caterpillar or dealer organizations are considered assets.**Soft Skills:*** Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including facilitation and presentation skills.* Ability to influence without authority and manage ambiguity effectively.At Finning, we prioritize creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
