SAP Group Reporting Lead (Consolidation) – Contract

Contract Term: January 26, 2026 – July 31, 2026 (6 months)

Work Arrangement: Remote Canada

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Group Reporting Lead to drive the end‑to‑end consolidation solution using SAP Group Reporting (S/4HANA). You will own solution design, configuration, data integration, testing, and stakeholder engagement to deliver accurate, timely consolidated financial statements and management reports.

Key Responsibilities

- Solution Design & Configuration
- Design consolidation models, group structures, consolidation units, hierarchy relationships, and elimination rules.
- Configure reporting layouts, consolidation cycles, currency translation, and intercompany matching/elimination.
- Requirements Gathering
- Plan and facilitate workshops with finance stakeholders (Controllership, FP&A, Treasury).
- Document processes, reporting needs, and control points; align requirements to SAP Group Reporting capabilities and constraints.
- Data & Integration Management
- Lead mapping of chart of accounts, consolidation units, and master data.
- Coordinate data migration, reconciliation, and integrations with SAP General Ledger and related S/4HANA finance modules.
- Testing & Validation
- Develop test strategy and scripts for unit, integration, and UAT cycles.
- Validate consolidated statements (BS, P&L, Cash Flow) and management reports; track and resolve defects to closure.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Change Enablement
- Serve as the primary liaison between finance teams, IT, and any implementation partners.
- Provide status updates, risks/issues, and change impacts; support training and adoption for end users.
- Governance & Documentation
- Produce solution design documents, configuration workbooks, data mapping specs, test evidence, and operating procedures.

Required Skills (maximum of 6)

1. Solution Design & Configuration: Hands‑on configuration of SAP Group Reporting (models, group structures, elimination rules, reporting layouts).
2. Requirements Gathering: Expert facilitation of finance workshops; process documentation and fit‑gap analysis.
3. Data & Integration Management: Mapping, migration, reconciliation; integration with SAP GL and related S/4HANA finance modules.
4. Testing & Validation: Test plan creation and execution across unit/integration/UAT; financial statement validation.
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Primary liaison role with finance and IT; clear communication, status reporting, and change management.
6. SAP S/4HANA Finance Expertise: Strong understanding of S/4HANA finance structures (COA, ledgers, currencies) and Group Reporting lifecycle.

Qualifications

- Proven experience leading at least one end‑to‑end SAP Group Reporting implementation.
- Strong knowledge of consolidation concepts (currency translation, intercompany eliminations, ownership/percentage methods).
- Familiarity with SAP reporting tools (e.g., Fiori apps, Analysis for Office) and data reconciliation practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate finance needs into technical solutions and vice versa.
- Experience working with public sector or large complex organizations is an asset.
