Responsibilities

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Stuart Olson HVAC Technician will be responsible for:

- Preventative maintenance and building checks on RTU, AHU, MUA, Unit heaters, exhaust fans, and boilers.

- Respond to and perform emergency and preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and components.

- Furnace and air conditioner changeouts.

- Ensure building standards are maintained.

- Advanced controls; electric, pneumatic, DDS.

- Compressor and heat pump changeouts.

- Advanced Boiler Operations.

- Other duties as requested by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

- Canadian Certified Journeyman (Refrigeration or Equivalent).

- Alberta Gasfitter “A” or “B” Ticket is a strong asset.

- Supervisory experience.

- Ability to understand process of the facility and work with operations on an as needed basis.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Good mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilities.

- Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience.

- Strong focus on customer satisfaction.

- Well organized with good time management skills.

- Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol test.

Working Conditions

- Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions.

- Working at heights, in and around noise and dust.

- CSTS 2020

- ESC Confined Space

- ESC Fall Protection

- ESC Elevated Work Platform – considered an asset

- ESC Firewatch – considered an asset
