Aramco occupies a unique position in the global energy industry. We are the world's largest producer of hydrocarbons (oil and gas), with the lowest upstream carbon intensity of any major producer.

With our significant investment in technology and infrastructure, we strive to maximize the value of the energy we produce for the world along with a commitment to enhance Aramco's value to society.

Headquartered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and with offices around the world, we combine market discipline with a generations' spanning view of the future, born of our nine decades experience as responsible stewards of the Kingdom's vast hydrocarbon resources. This responsibility has driven us to deliver significant societal and economic benefits to not just the Kingdom, but also to a vast number of communities, economies, and countries that rely on the vital and reliable energy that we supply.

We are one of the most profitable companies in the world, as well as amongst the top five global companies by market capitalization.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Estimating Engineer to join our Infrastructure and Joint Venture Project Management Team (PMT).

Project Management Departments manage and execute projects usually from multiple site offices or engineering contractor design offices, geographically scattered throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Saudi Aramco Project Management Teams are directly responsible and accountable for the delivery of best-in-class capital projects assigned to the department. PMT is directly involved in executing and managing assigned projects safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest standards of integrity and compliance.

As an Estimating Engineer, your primary role will involve engineering design, procurement, and construction of various sizes, types, and complexity of small, medium to multi-billion-dollar mega size projects. Some of these mega projects include the Crude Oil to Chemicals program, Sofon, and AMIRAL Program.

Key Responsibilities

As a successful candidate, you will be required to perform the following:

- Provide overall estimating technical and professional expertise in the resolution of complex estimating problems and coordinate estimating activities as a group/unit leader when required.
- Execute overall capabilities in preparing detailed estimates for various types of projects, including multi-billion-dollar oil and gas projects.
- Develop Material Take-Offs (MTO) and/or verify MTOs and material, equipment, and bulk quantities against P&IDs and drawings.
- Prepare multi-discipline conceptual, detailed, and definitive cost estimates for Saudi Aramco Capital Projects and will review estimates to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the scope of work.
- Interface with multiple organizations to review and discuss project scope and estimate basis, and consult on company estimating methods/procedures.
- Provide technical support in the review of design packages and drawings, and assist project management and contracting personnel with bid analysis and contract negotiations as necessary.
- Coordinate with teammates on company estimating methods/procedures and preparation directions.
- Keep abreast of changing developments in estimating advances by reviewing technical literature, contact with contractors, visits to construction locations, and attending professional and technical meetings.

As a successful candidate, you will hold a:

- Bachelor degree in Engineering. A Masters or higher degree is preferred, but not required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience; including at least 3 years devoted to petrochemical, refinery, pipeline, or power generation projects.
- A Professional Engineer (PE / PEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) license is desirable.
- Must be familiar with construction practices, materials, and equipment.

Working environment

Our high-performing employees are drawn by the challenging and rewarding professional, technical and industrial opportunities we offer, and are remunerated accordingly.

At Aramco, our people work on truly world-scale projects, supported by investment in capital and technology that is second to none. And because, as a global energy company, we are faced with addressing some of the world's biggest technical, logistical, and environmental challenges, we invest heavily in talent development.
